The management of the business bases its decision support systems. However, the difficulties of such a decision support system have some drawbacks as:
· The decisions are made on data that are not always projectable on the graphical scale. The quantifiable data are not always got which makes it difficult.
· The people may be unaware of the assumptions which make the decision not be taken in a good light. The assumptions are not well-known buy like the uncontrollable factors which may have issues with such a system.
· The System has to be designed in a manner that projects the needful for the decision-maker. However, if the systems are not dragged well this becomes a trouble for the decision n maker.
· The difficulty of collecting all data from the various sources of the business is at the time impossible which makes the decision making difficult for the business.
· The user may lack the technical skills to make the use of the data to project the decision making which makes it unattainable for the Decision support system (DSS).
Hence the required skills along with commends and validation of all the possibilities have to be brought in. further, the people in the DSS has to be well trained on the software skills to take the needful data to formulate the needful charts for the Decision support system.
The managers are liable for the operations of the respective department. For a business, the departments have to work together with some support and communication system the managers when speaking about the need to be aware of the working of each of the departments so that they have all the needful aspects being cleared for the interdepartmental coordination. This also presents the opportunity to handover the task with certain feedback and formats which has to be common for both since the jobs are shared here.
