The Case:
A general contracting company engaged in the construction of real estate has several branches
throughout the Kingdom and a headquarters in Al-Qassim.
The company different branches are independent from each other and they have similar administrative structure, activity and infrastructure. Each branch has its own departments (finance, accounting, human resources, warehouse management, marketing, sales and operations management). The departments are related to the headquarters in Al-Qassim to whom they are presenting monthly reports.
As for the information technology, the company's branches have been completely independent in the use of the technology provided by different software, as each department in each branch manages its various administrative and operational activities through software as it deems appropriate.
However, this is no longer appropriate for senior management in Al-Qassim in many ways and believes that a unified information system must be applied to all branches.

1-Currently data transmission is not smooth because the whole branch uses different information systems, so opening a file created by a different branch system .each branch will need to keep all the additional information on its computers and this can lead to delays, and reduced productivity of all branches.

These factors have led management to take the above decision.

2: The new information system should be applied to existing hardware in the branches, it should be available throughout the application used by the branches in their daily operations and tasks. It should also provide seamless connectivity and information transfer between branches and the head quarter.

3: it depends entirely on company type requirements and existing ERP availability. If the existing ERP system meets all of the company's requirements it could be costly, otherwise they will need to have their own custom software to operate for the stated purpose.

4: In the case that a company decides to go with their custom software I would suggest that I submit a release for development work because it saves a lot of company because hiring a software development team to do just one software is not good for the company's financial life. And professional roles such as Scrum Master, UX / UI Designer, or QA engineer are very expensive to hire. and the product will be completed very soon with the release of staff. and distribution can be easily obtained using external releases and top talents such as engineers and technicians are available using extraction.

5: The company must choose the system life cycle of the system because it is proven and common in the industry, It will provide the company with the product you want and also provide the flexibility that may be required if necessary. It provides product stability which is a basic requirement of a multi-branch firm like this.

6: The best way to convert a new system is to back up data to all older programs. Keep it in a safe place, add important data to the new system while gradually putting the old data into the new system, while simultaneously using the new system in daily operations.

7: As the new system will produce data that will be in the same format. The data collected can be used to generate results that can tell, which branch is performing well in any area, and can tell the company if it needs to increase or decrease its costs. It will revive the entire decision-making process in the company.
