This semester, we unexpectedly had to move classes to be 100% remote/online. Employers have had to face the same challenge of suddenly managing, motivating, and maintaining productivity with all or most of their employees working remotely/online.
1. You are now the Head of HR for Sports Marketing, a firm that works with professional sports teams on marketing and community outreach programs. You have 100 employees. 75 are in the US (spread across Boston, NYC, Miami, Chicago, and Los Angeles). 25 are abroad in England, Spain, New Zealand and Morocco. As the Head of HR:
a) How will you ensure that the employees feel connected to their managers and each other?
b) How you will keep employees motivated to do their best work?
c) How you will help managers to stay connected to employees?
d) How will you keep everyone up to date on how the pandemic is affecting Sports Marketing as a company, including updates on when offices will open?
e) How you do company meetings and any other major initiatives you as Head of HR can think of?
A)
· Use technology to feel more connected.
· Making Sure Your Employees Succeed:By establishing and monitoring targets, you can give your employees real-time input on their performance while motivating them to achieve more.
· Provide feedback:Managers who must now contend with managing the performance of large numbers of remote employees
· Communication:Strengthen intranet network for communication. Create an internal communication plan – a process for reaching employees through combinations of emails, intranet postings, or a website situation room.
· Clear guidelines for workplace behaviour, particularly during a flu outbreak
· Ensure a healthy work life balance
· Keep them aware of the CDC guidance on this topic and that will keep them calm
· Take precautions to guard employees from coronavirus vice versa

1. Narrow down each goal to specific objectives that are measurable. Assign the time frame for completing the objectives.during this time employee may distracted in their household
2. Meet with employees over video on a regular basis to evaluate where they are in reaching their goals. Provide suggestions give them feedback
3. Announce the achievements, make a recognition e- bulletin board, publish the information in the company social media network or offer a small incentive like a gift card
4. Online training, informational tools or software packages

· Check on employee stress fear and anxiety are common reactions to this global pandemic. News and conversation create more cause for concern among some of your employees.

Tools for Virtual Meetings :
1. Slack: eliminating the need for long email threads and links
2. Join.me allows up to 10 individuals to view your screen at the same time, fostering collaboration for idea generation, sales demos and presentations
3. Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service created by Google that allows users to store files in the cloud, share files and edit documents, spreadsheets, presentations photos and audio files
4. Periscope is a live streaming app for ios and Android. Users broadcast live video from their phones, in real time
