Corona virus a recent pandemic affects major developed and developing countries. It is an infectious disease caused by virus. It is categorized under orthocoronavirus family. The name is  derived from Latin origin "Corona" crown under microscope the virus appers with a crown.

Infection commonly transmitted from human to human primarily by respiratory droplets spreads through sneezing and coughing.

The symptoms gradually appears between 2-14 days after the individual exposure to the virus. The initial symptoms are fever,cough,shortness of breath. Emegrency signs that needs a medical intervention are: trouble breathing, persistent pain,feeling an intense pressure over the chest,cyanosis of lips and face.

Currently there is no vaccine available to prevent corona. FDA recommends intake od chloroquine drugs to treat corona infection. It should be taken with cautious as drug overdose may leads to ventricular arrhythmias.

Prevention is better than cure. Social distancing like maintaining distance of 3 feet and covering nose and mouth while sneezing and coughing. Washing hands with soap and water or alcohol based scrub before eating,after coughing,sneezing. Dont touch mouth,nose and eyes when in a public place.
