should your ethical policies be aligned with your social responsibilities as an organization explain
Yes, I believe ethical policies should be aligned with social responsibilities as an organization.
Ethical policies means policies of an organization which set of rules of documents which employees and organization as a whole needs to follow which are in alignment with ethics. Moral conduct should be good. The company should not earn at a cost of another. The earning should be by proper means and correct resources.
Social Responsibility of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) means that an organization has some responsibilities towards society. The earnings that are made by an organization is because of its operations within the society. Thus it has some responsibilities towards society so that not only the organization but the society as a whole develops. This can only happen when organization treats society as part of the organization.
Ethical policies when aligned with social responsibility will lead to development of society along with organization. Not only this, the society as well as employees will develop a sense of feeling towards organization that organization cares for its people.
Also, when such policies are aligned it becomes a document which then needs to be followed by everyone within the organization. Also, any person trying to disobey will always have a fear of being answerable to management.
Also, the company can always boast of it being ethical as well as complying with social responsibility. Such an image created in minds of the people will also develop the Goodwill of the organization.
The shareholders will also feel that the investment made by them in the company has been really fruitful not only in terms of company being ethical and compliant but having a feeling that society needs to be repaid for it is the reason that company is surviving.
Hence, Aligning ethical policies with social responsibilities will definitely be fruitful for the organization.
