The time period of a simple pendulum is given by
where T= time period of the pendulum . L is the length of the pendulum and g is the acceleration due to gravity of the Moon.
if we know the time period and the length of the pendulum then we can easily find out the acceleration due to gravity of moon from above equation.

given time period = T= 1.50 s , L= length = 0.50 m
so
so acceleration due to gravity of moon is 8.78 m/s^2
3. Answer:
The equation used to calculate time period or the acceleration due to gravity i.e.
is valid only when the angular displacement of the pendulum is less than 4 degree.
so to get the accurate result Jack must repeat the experiment with smaller angular amplitude ( less than 4 degree).
