In what way would you like to inspire hope in others? How is this desire to inspire hope in others an extension of your Christian worldview? What obstacles do you face right now that threaten to keep you from implementing your ideas into action once this course is completed? What do you need to do to ensure that those obstacles will not deter you from taking action? How will you remain committed to your resolve to inspire hope in others if your initial efforts aren’t as “successful” as you anticipate?
One of the most important characteristics of Jesus in the Bible is his ability to empower and bring hope in place of despair and inability. He moved around and came across many people such as blind, deaf, lame and even dead and he kept sowing the seeds of hope and enabled them to get up and walk, see, hear and come to life. His final statements after their recovery was always that their hope saved them and not his miracle worked there. Most people have two fundamental fears, fear of the unknown and fear of failure. I would like to bring hope in the minds of these two kinds of people by saying that only human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude. I would say that internal motivation is what would keep one moving and keep worrying about things wouldn’t improve an inch of things just as Jesus told, you can’t do anything if you keep worrying instead if you take everything and walk just as he told to the lame person, that’s it. Throughout the process I understand that it would be very difficult to keep people stay focused, so continuous reinforcements such as pep talk, going back to why they should do it etc. will ensue that they stay on the track moving. I myself will become tired of my continuous efforts failing but I’ll stick to it because that’s where I would find the meaning of my life.
