As an educational psychologist I would prefer to have the survey method as the choice of research methods.

Research topics can be exploration of the relationship between anxiety and self esteem.

I will start by forming a hypothesis, for example, students who have low anxiety will have higher self esteem.

Characteristics of a survey method among research methods involves distribution of questionnaires to extract data from the samples.

After data collection is done, the data will be analysed using statistics and results will be obtained.

Advantages of the Survey method are, they can be conducted over a vast population in a short period of time. They are economical in nature and are very efficient to perform.

Disadvantages of the Survey method include, deficiency of qualitative and narrative data because it does not involve interview and/or one to one interactions.
