A business regulation is defined as a rule or law that is put in pace with the major aim of controlling the manner in which business in a certain field or locality is being conducted. The major aim here is the consideration that business has to be undertaken within the required, and established standards; so that there is no infringement on the rights that the players have got. There are very many areas in which the government has its regulations being applied; in this case, I will consider the regulation of employment and labor locally. In any business, there are employees that undertake to carry out day to day activities in the organization; subjecting them to some ill practices by management. Besley. Thus, there are some regulations that are in place to protect them. First and foremost, they must have attained the minimum age to be recognized as employees; as well as being able to enter into contracts; they should not be minors. Furthermore, the employees should be paid above their minimum wage rate that is prescribed by the industry or the economy; this is to enable them to cater for their day to day needs. The employees should also work in a safe environment; which is free from any hazards that may adversely affect their health or general welfare as they go on with their day to day activities.

  Furthermore, the employees should have a right to equal opportunities in the workplace; this is meant to avoid any instances of discrimination against the employees at the place of work. This regulation of employment and labor is ethical; which is due to the fact that it is in line with the applicable moral principles in the society; as well as being in the best of interests of all the involved parties. This regulation is effective due to the consideration that there has been a general improvement in the working conditions of the employees; which is owed to the regulation of employment and labor.
