The first aspect of practicing the profession with integrity, honesty, truthfulness, and adherence to the absolute obligation to safeguard the public trust is necessary to promote the organization as a moral driver in society. If there are certain unethical practices in non-profit organizations then it amounts to the breach of trust of the client and the society. People who contribute to the nonprofit organization are motivated by buy vision and incentives much above the compensations and hence the first principle is very necessary for the success of the nonprofit organization and the alignment of the masses with the organization.

A non-profit organization doesn't generate its own money and hence depends on the goals and visions of the client. These goals and visions are highly influenced by the cause that the organization is contributing towards and hence it is imperative that the organization acts in an ethical way towards the cause and is driven by the conscience of the clients. The non-profit organization should be professionally driven and should have proper accountability towards the cause and the resources provided by the client.
