3. Any change to a process is only successful in the long run if the stakeholders truly adopt and sustain the change. Identify the problems that undermine sustainability of the change after it is implemented. Also suggest the ways these issues might be addressed. Give example from your organization or real life where any of such issue where encountered and managed by the leader effectively.
Problems that undermine sustainability of the change after it is implemented are as follows-
1. Poor monitoring and evaluation system- an organization fails to monitor and evaluate the change properly.
2. No participation from stakeholders- stakeholders are not ready for the change or they are against the change
3. Stakeholders not accept it wholeheartedly- stakeholders adopt the change but not working effectively after the change
4. Difficult to measure the results of change
5. Communication gap- top level management implements the change but lower level management do not know about it.
6. Started causing environment problems- after implementing change an organization come to know that it is causing environment problems
7. Lack of knowledge to stakeholders about how to deal with the change.
Issues can be address and solved by following ways-
1. Through effective communication
2. Before implementing change give proper training to stakeholders and make them aware how it works for benefit of an organization and themselves
3. Proper monitor and evaluation system should be there
Example-
When computers are came into an organization’s culture. Top level management wants to install computers but stakeholders find it difficult to work on it and they are not ready for change. After management come know about that issue that employees are facing, they provide proper training workshops for employees so they can become familiar with computers, and now we can see that computers are basic need of an organization and its staff.
