Red Flags are the alerts or the warnings of some wrongful or dangerous behavior. It is important for an employer to stay alert for for any such acts that may hinder the performance of the company or the business.

There are certain Red Flags that makes an employer suspect an employee is stealing or causing computer crime and these are:

1. Improper Documentation - When the documentation is not proper i.e. the incoming or outgoing bills, it is a signal that some computer crime may betaking place and it should be checked and corrected.

2. Destruction - It is destroying the computer parts. CCTVs should be installed to keep a check on this.

3. Money mismatch - When there is a mismatch in the cash balance, records should be checked properly.

4. Data/Information leak - When there is a sudden benefit to the competitors fro our clients, there is a doubt that some data has been stolen from the company.

5. Loss of clients - When clients are leaving the company on a regular basis, there is a probability that clients information is being shared.

6. Viruses in computer - When viruses enter into computer or the network system, the security from such viruses should be done as these are put by employees or the company.
