What is D1 or P0 or g, what do these mean?
And then from your book find and give formulas in this discussion block in how to derive the price of a stock.
As per the details given in the question-
D1 = Expected dividend receive in the next year
G= growth rate
P0 = Share price of the stock (intrinsic value of stock means
should be price)
Price of the stock is derived by the formula -
P0 = D1 / (Re - g)
Re = Required rate of return
Re is calculated by various methods-
Most common method is CAPM - Capital Asset pricing
method
In CAPM Re = Rf = (RM-Rf)*beta
Rf = Risk free rate
Rm = Market rate of return
