Exemplars are people who serve as excellent examples of the virtuous life. Make a list of the people in your life who you highly respect and look up to—those you strive to think and act more like. Think about who’s on your list. Why did you choose those people? Name the virtues that you believe that they possess. When you put together the kinds of virtues that they all highlight, what picture do you start to get of what a life worth living is for you? Lastly, ask yourself: How well do you live up to that notion of the good life? Would your exemplars be proud? For this part of the assignment think about all the questions I asked (you don't have to tell me what they are--just give me a list of 3-5 virtues that your "exemplars" share.
