The measures to be taken depend on the nature of organisation that is under question. Whether it is manufacturing or service or any other business. Other factors that will affect are:-

1. Number of Employees

2. Location of the organisation.

3. Geographical spread of the organisation.

4. Business Drivers.

5. IT Capabilities.

Let us take example of a Manufacturing organisation with around 50000 employees spead over Europe, Asia and USA (Corporate Office).

Strategies during and Post Covid to maintain competitiveness.

1. Initial and most important challenge will be to manage workforce. A complete list of employee along with their job details has to be obtained. Critical tasks must be identified and utmost concentration must be put on them,

2. Creating categories of employees based on their jobs then analysing them and and segregating the employees who have IT assets and can run their work from their home using laptops/desktops.

3. For actual manufacturing activity in factories. Employees to be classified as per thier age group and health background. Accomodation facility to be made available to such employees near or in factory premises. These employees to be divided in shifts, keeping in mind the social distancing norms.

4. Necessary permissions to be obtained from the respective goverment to run factories under sanitised facility.

5. Next crucial step is managing the supply chain. Protective gears and vehical sanitisation facility to be developed in factory and warehouse.

6. The business can be resumed in phased manner depending on the spead and measures available at a particular location.
