Discuss some of the common pitfalls associated with the system acquisition process and how those issues can be avoided.
Syatem acquisition is not always a good idea because it has it's share of pitfalls. When we consider system acquisition for the development of our company we need to make sure we are ready to face these pitfalls. Some of the pitfalls associated are
1. Opposition from the staff to get adjusted to the new system as they are comfortable to the old one.Thi sproblem can be avoided if the staff are preprepared and are explained the advantages of the new system and train them to get adapted to the new system .
2. Compatability of the new system to the company's environment. The new system must also suit the company and it's work structure to work as planned . If any problem occurs the whole process will fail and the acquisition will be a disaster. We can avoid this by making arrangements so that the system is compatable to the company and it's work structure,
3. We might face opposition from the customers to continue business with us as they are not comfortable with the new system . This issue can be avoided by negotiating with them and explaining the need for the new system and the advantages they have with it.
