Toyota motor corporation is a Japanese based company, founded in 1937. Primarily the company involved in design, assembly manufacture and sale of motor vehicles in Japan, Europe, North America and Asia. Toyota motor corporation is currently one of the leading auto manufacturer in the world.

Toyota's success strategy in Indonesia

In 1971 the company began selling of cars in Indonesia and started production in 1977. The vompany's entry to the Indonesian market was through a joint venture with Astra Motors. From 2008 to 2012, the company began its success in the Indonesian market by doubling its sale from 199,000 to 409,000. With an estimated market share of 40% Indonesia is toyota's best market in terms of market share.The affection of toyota in Indonesian market established by its “Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle” strategy launched in 2003. Particularly, Toyota designed and produced car in Indonesia according to the need of the local market, Toyota Avanza priced about $ 16000, manufactured in 2013, is the best example for this.
The culture and geography of Indonesia also have unignorable role in the success of Toyota. Toyota have been first launched many of its new models in the indonesian market and bring sebsequently to other markets in the world. Toyota's kijung of Indonesia exported to many South East Asiancountries such as Phillippenes, thailand, India( qualis) with different names. Indonesia being a small homogenous country provides a claer feedback to a perfect product, there is no other market to launch new products. The major reason behind the japanese company to invest more in Indonesia is the government's policies and incentives for new car buyers, which include tax breaks for eco-friendly cars. The captuting of growing Indonesian middle class is also one of the reason behind the investment of Japanese giant in Indonesia
