Where in the Universe do we observe the ordinary matter?
Select one:
a. as galaxies and intergalactic gas
b. throughout the galaxies and in the extended halos around them
c. throughout the observable universe
This question is kind of a tricky question.I wont be able to select just one option from this but i will be able to answer in a mixed way. Ordinary matters like us,planets stars galaxies and even intergalactic gases which are visible are present through out the observable universe , but only in small proportion with respect to volume of the observable universe. There exist an another matter called the dark matter which are not the usual visible matter, but whose presence can be detected by gravitational effects. This types of matter are a major composition of universe than dark matter
If we say the composition of universe it consists of about 3-4% ordinary matter(only), about 24% dark matter and about 71% dark energy(which is a type of unknown energy which causes the expansion of universe to speed up). We are yet to discover what these dark matter and dark energy are as they are not visible to us.
