(a) Social initiatives

1. Community Satisfaction: For an automobile company Community satisfaction is the first and foremost initial KPI in order to ensure sustainability that in turn will ensure corporate social responsibility on the company is being taken care of.

2. Occupational health: An automobile company can use occupational health as initial KPI for evaluating their social initiatives. They can ensure that there is no danger to health of their workers and people associated with their manufacturing plant and products.

3. Occupational safety: An automobile company can use occupational safety as initial KPI for evaluating their social initiatives. They must lay emphasis on primary prevention of hazards and ensure that there is no threat to safety of their employees and people associated with them.

4. Commitment towards society: This can be used as initial KPI for evaluating social initiatives of an automobile company. They must set objectives in this area and actual performance can be compared against their set objectives.

5. Social equity: This is another KPI that can be used for evaluating social initiatives. This will help in diminishing discrimination on any basis from the society.

(b) Environmental initiatives.

1. Air Emission: For an automobile company they must set this as an initial KPI for evaluating success of their environmental initiatives. They must make sure that their products are not adding to air pollution.

2. Water Pollution: This can be set as initial KPI. An automobile company must ensure that their plant and products are not contributing in water pollution of any sort.

3. Land Emission: For an automobile company they must set this as an initial KPI for evaluating success of their environmental initiatives. Land emission must be controlled as this also has impact on underground water.

4. Hazardous waste: An automobile company must ensure that there is no hazardous waste that is left open. Hazardous waste must be properly treated.

5. Land Usage: An initial KPI must be set that land usage of an automobile company will not intrude any forest area or disturb the area where life exists.
