explain the way of storing dates
Dates are the fruit of the date palm tree, which is grown in many tropical regions of the world. Dates are sweet fruits that grow in bundles on date palms. While they are high in natural sugar, they also contain many essential nutrients.The umpteen health benefits of dates has made the delicious fruit of the most sought after foods in the world of health and nutrition.
Dates taste best when they are able to retain their moisture, so storing them properly is critical. Dates are best stored in the refrigerator in an air tight container to help them retain moisture. They can be stored up to 6 months in the refrigerator, but may lose moisture the longer they sit. Large quantities of dates can also be frozen for up to one year. If you bought your dates in bulk, or if you plan to use them at a later date, then store them in the freezer. Following thought must be in mind while storing.
1. Place the fresh dates in air tight artifical container or reasable plastic bag.
2. Semi dry dates container can be stored at room temperature avoiding the sunlight.
3. Soft dates must be kept in the refrigerator.
4. dates can be stored for a year keeping in refrigerator.
