Use Google Scholar or the Library tab on Blackboard to find a research study in any area of interest to you that involves hypothesis testing. Describe the study, hypothesis test, null/alternative hypothesis, alpha value, one or two-tailed test, results, and inferences made. Please make sure you cite references to any sources you use for this question. Provide a link to the actual study so that classmates can review the hypothesis test data. Explain the inferences you make from these results, importance of this data in general, how it relates to your life, and what you find interesting about the study.
Answer:
Here I explain you what is hypothesis testing ,null and alternative hypothesis , alpha , two tailed , one tailed all this theory
Hypothesis testing :here we can set any statement and using test we can prove that statement .
Ex. Suppose you make statement average height of your calss is 4.5 feet . But you have to check its actually 4.5 or less than 4.5 or greater than 4.5 right .
Suppose we take ,
H0( null hypothesis) : average height of the class students is 4.5 feet
H1: average height of the class students is not equal to 4.5 feet
If the not equal present in H1 then that test is two tailed test
If less than or greater than present in H1 then that test is one tailed
Here H1 : height not equal to 4.5 so this is two tailed test .
Now taking sample of your class students get height of the each student suppose you get 30 students height . Now find mean and standard deviation and used any test Z test or T test .
Alpha : is the risk you take 5% means you can take 5% risk .
