Ethical dilemma # 7: I am a Level II fieldwork student and my classmates and I have a Facebook page that we use to stay in touch and share ideas. Some of my classmates use this Facebook page to complain about their clients, their supervisors, or our university faculty. Is this ethical?
Address the following questions regarding the assigned ethical dilemma
What is the dilemma?
What principle/principles does it violate?
What are options of action?
What are resources used to determine possible actions?
What are possible consequence to the individual breaking the principle?
Let us first try to understand what "Ethics" is?
Ethics is someone's behaviour and perception based on his or her upbringing, society and circle he or she spends time with. There are a lot of factors where an individual gets to understand what is right ot wrong and whether something is moral or not..
Ethics is also based on an individual's principle that is being followed and adheres to.
Now whether what your friend is doing ethical or not leads to a simple point that he is sharing his feelings with his friend. There is no rules and regulation set between friends here to follow. A friend is a trustworthy human being to who things are shared. In this case here there is no role of ethics as there is no standard rules to be followed among friends.
