Expert Solution

Let us first try to understand what "Ethics" is?

Ethics is someone's behaviour and perception based on his or her upbringing, society and circle he or she spends time with. There are a lot of factors where an individual gets to understand what is right ot wrong and whether something is moral or not..

Ethics is also based on an individual's principle that is being followed and adheres to.

Now whether what your friend is doing ethical or not leads to a simple point that he is sharing his feelings with his friend. There is no rules and regulation set between friends here to follow. A friend is a trustworthy human being to who things are shared. In this case here there is no role of ethics as there is no standard rules to be followed among friends.

Dilemma: A situation where one has to choose from various options where each option is not the correct solution however one has to choose the less wrong one.

All the options that are available are not completely or absolutely convincing however one has to choose from among these and that is called " Dilemma".
