There are many ways by which energy conservation measures can be used in lighting controls. The lights in the room should be shut off when there is no occupancy. This can be also done in a way that lights are ON only for a certain period of the day like during the working hours. This can be achieved by motion sensors connected with the lighting controls or by using specific timer. When sufficient day light is available, the lights will be turned OFF. This is done with the help of photoelectric cells placed near to the windows to sense the daylight. By providing dimmable lights, the intensity of light can be reduced during the off peak hours. Wireless control systems also help reducing the use of energy by turning OFF the lights at whenever you wanted.

The lighting control has an aim to provide the users the required flexibility and convenience with energy savings and cost reduction by actively switch OFF the electrical equipments when it's not needed.
