In terms of plants and their photosynthetic abilities, which type of vegetation C3 or C4 would prevail in Amazon Rainforest . and why?

C3 plants are those which grow under moderate conditions of temperature and humidity. They undertake photosynthesis by Calvin cycle or C3 cycle in which the first stable product is three carbon phosphoglyceric acid.

C4 plants are those which grow under dry climatic areas and where temperature is also high. They undertake photosynthesis by C4 cycle in which the first stable product 4 carbon compound oxaloacetate.

The temperature of Amazon rainforest is around 28 degree Celsius but the humidity is very high. C4 plants grow in dry climatic areas so Amazon rainforest will be abundant in plants showing C3 cycle. The plants will undertake Calvin cycle to fix atmospheric carbon dioxide into their Biomass.
