1. How viable is laser drilling for different rock types? Are there particular rock properties that are more suited to laser drilling? Are there any rocks that can't be drilled using this technology?

Answer-1:-Laser drilling for Rocks- Now a days laser drilling is used at a great extent due to less power requirement and ease in drilling, but their is some restrictions also, we can not drill by laser at more depths because of releasing various type of gases during laser drilling so there is a chance of getting fire or blast during laser cutting process. Hence for thin rock layer it is very suitable but for thick layerd rock it is not suitable.

Rock properties that are suitable for laser drilling:-Following quality must have to the rock for laser drilling-

A) Rock must be thin layered

B) fire resistant

C)present at shallow depth

D) source of suitable power available

Rock that can't be drill by laser drilling:--​​​​​Thick layerd rock is not suitable for rock drilling because it required so much power and energy that makes the process uneconomical and costly also it requied skilled workmenship than other drilling process.
