Covid-19 has changed people's lives,business situations and operations,economical status.etc.It even changed the field of marketing and advertising.Covid-19 improved and encouraged many businesses to advertise their goods and services online.Companies,industries and other business have started advertising their goods through internet on soical media platforms.Technology is being used efficiently and the country is getting digitalized.Since the outbreak has locked down many countries,people are working from home and usage of social media has increased.Most of the companies took this as a chance and started advertising their goods online to attain profits. Marketing and advertising techniques improved alot and now main aim of advertisers is to gain trust from customers regarding the company and its services.So,marketing strategies are designed in such a way that advertisements depict the company's efforts and efficiency involved while producing and serving the goods and services to customers.Due to covid-19,customers are concerned about hygiene and safety while purchasing goods.So,companies are letting their customers know that all precautions regarding hygiene and safety are taken during production and delivery of goods.These are the positive impacts of covid-19 on internet marketing.
There are even negative impacts on internet marketing caused by covid-19.Since,most of the people are spending their time on social media platforms,few fake companies are using this chance to trap the internet users and customers by committing fraudulent activities.Customers and internet users are asked to disclose their bank details to few fake advertisers through which they are getting trapped.Another negative impact is caused when few fake advertisement links are clicked and confidential information of that particular user is revealed.Then this information is misused.This made difficult for genuine companies to attain trust from customers since many fraudulent cases are being witnessed.Few small businesses are not being able to internet marketing techniques since competition on social platforms is high.There are some companies and businesses which are not following precautions to prevent covid-19 but are still advertising that all safety measures are being followed while producing goods.These are negative impacts caused by covid-19 to internet marketing.
Hence,there are both positive and negative impacts on internet marketing.Covid-19 pandemic has made internet marketing to witness both the impacts.
