In your words explain what is RACE. Please make sure not to limit your answer just to the physical features. I'm interested to read your opinion on how you think the concept have been utilized at the social, economic and government levels.
I hope this is the same what you meant.
The concept of race has historically signified the division of humanity into alittle number of groups based upon five criteria:
(1) Races reflect some sort of biological foundation
(2) This biological foundation generates discrete racial groupings, such all and only all members of one race share a group of biological characteristics that aren't shared by members of other races
(3) This biological foundation is inherited from generation to generation, allowing observers to spot an individual’s race through her ancestry or genealogy
(4) Genealogical investigation should identify each race’s geographic origin, typically in Africa, Europe, Asia, or North and South America
(5) This inherited racial biological foundation manifests itself primarily in physical phenotypes, like complexion , eye shape, hair texture, and bone structure, and maybe also behavioral phenotypes, like intelligence or delinquency.
