Trans-National Corporations is any enterprise organization that undertake Foreign direct investment, own or control income gathering assets in more than one country. It produces goods and services outside its origin country or in simple terms can be said to engage ininternational production.
Thrier growing power is a threat to democracy, state sovereignty and human rights in following ways:

  • As these companies are mostly focused on profit without any social responsibility to the locals, working conditions are very poor in these factories.
  • They do lot of damage to environment as well and ignoring most of local laws by negotiating with government taking leverage that they have other options which is agreeing to their demand.
  • Most of the profits generated by the organization is going overseas than locals
  • These organization does little reinvestment in the local areas where their units are
  • Natural resources are over exploited by these corporations by using their international influence to mold the rules of local government.
  • factories are mostly temporary in nature and may leads to job insecurity. If labour costs increases company may moves to other place.
