1. Sustainability has been defined as the quadruple bottom line which includes consideration of economic, environmental, intergenerational and social factors. How do these four pillars play out in your former or current industry?
2. When we add global considerations to sustainable development, what new considerations arise?
3. What is the role of leadership in sustainability?
1: Four pillars play equal importance to the organisation. Taking example from my previous organisation ( a manufactruing company) sustianbaility needs to balance and aligned to four pilalrs equally. Being from a manufctruing background envionrmental concenr is very important to reduce the pollusion.Environmental factor especially to reduce th emission, social factors ( to develop and care about future), intergenerational where there is a colloborative effort is required to be more more responsbile to the intergeneration.
2: New consideration majorly in the area of global warming, economic insecurity, political friction between countries, difference in cultrual attributes etc. will be challeng for any organisation
2: Leadership can guide the organisation and develop action plan. They can allocate fund more effectiveley and train and lead the employees to align with the sustainability requirement. They can connect with external environment more through their practical knowledge and exposure and provide the link to their teammate and lead them through example.
