A local news network has been accused of reporting inaccurate and misleading information to gain a wider audience. You don't believe that these accusations are valid and you've been hired as a consultant to launch an initiative that will help repair the company's image. Towards which groups do your efforts need to be focused
The assigned job is to repair the image of the local news network on accusation.
Here the accusations are mostly divided into two major groups - inaccurate information and misleading information.
As a consultant, the efforts to repair the image must primarily be focused to the inaccurate information group over misleading information. It is because the primary job of a news network is to provide information that are factually accurate and verified. An inaccurate information can easily be cross verified by the listeners and viewers from plenty other sources and will directly lead to the formation of a negative brand image about the company. Also there is a provision to change the set of inaccurate information by providing the correct one.
Misleading information is a by product and effect of inaccurate information and thus it can't directly be controlled as the focus group. Also as a news network the primary job of the organisation should be of providing correct information and not give an opinion which will make the audience believe in something particular.
