Answer:
Employers are more reluctant to involve employee representatives in strategic decision making because most of the time employers think that employee representative who raise the common voice of most of the employees don't have the skillset and experience to input anything in business operations. Sometime they want to keep it confidentials from employees as well, because of which they are reluctant to involve them in startegic matters.
But thats not always true, workers can contribute in business operations in the advent ofCOVID-19 and work arrangement in following ways:

  • Workers are fully aware and even more experienced about their day to day activities and how it can be optimized keeping in mind about COVID-19.
  • workers are also aware of their fellow colleagues and their strength and weaknesses and sometime limitations that we should keep in mind while forming any startegy.
  • Workers are the one who would be affected by it so they should have a say on this matter.
  • It will also show that management is transparent with the employees and they will start trusting the organization even more.
  • If employees are aware of the hardship by which organization is going through, they may volantarily suggest some solution to resolve it and they won't get agitated as it is being proposed by them with full transparency.
