(Answer) Conservative populism is simply a concept that is promulgated and supported by people from the right-wing. Their core belief is to avoid immigration and to support the majority conservative government. The very nature of such a concept would entail the lack of acceptance of minorities and their progress in the society and in places of government.
In order to achieve the ends of such a goal, one would not only have to avoid being liberal but, also act in a way that might curb the inevitable. Since globalisation seems to be an inevitable part of the future of certain nations, it would have to be actively avoided by conservative populism. In order to do so, one might harbour extremist thoughts and actions in order to suppress the minority. Such actions are likely to pander to the conservatives and suppress the liberals. This is why extremism is more like a tool for conservative populism to achieve their goals.
