Haber process is an example for Real world Chemical system in equilibrium- for the manufacturing of ammonia.
N2 + 3 H2 <-----> 2NH3 + heat
How equilibrium concepts help this reaction?
To produce more amount of ammonia, increase the concentration of nitrogen and hydrogen. So according to Le Chatelier's principle the system will try to increase the rate of forward reaction and production of ammonia will be maximum.
Now, if the concentration of ammonia becomes more, then the back ward reaction will start to decrease its concentration on product side. So to prevent the dissociation of ammonia, it should be removed frequently.
The variation in pressure(increase), temperature(decrease) also depend on the reaction equilibrium.
Adjust the temperature and pressure and concentration by studying the equilibrium conditions of a reaction. Then the wastage of chemicals, human resources and energy can be avoided.
