Sociologists often employ critical thinking in their studies. It is important for the sociologists to think about different aspects of the society. By employing critical thinking, there would be implementation of ethical questions. Critical thinking employs involvement of the audience and allows a person to be reflexive. Only when a sociologist includes his outnof the box thinking, he would be able to identify what the members of the community want from him.
As a result, the sociologist understands how the prevailing norms affect the life of the members of the society. He realises the manner in which people want change and how these aspects of crime, instability and social inequalities constraint the people in their own self, allowing them not to come up and unleash their true potential. The sociologist understands the manner in which people want to move away from their life, and get ahead. An example is the increasing crime rates, that make people insecure and the changes that they want in the society.
