· Nearly every student in the course was able to think of a time when they had personally been impacted by or had observed incivility in the workplace. In what ways does this impact your view of the nursing profession? If those outside of healthcare were aware, how might it impact their view?
ANSWER:
Nursing is a profession which has its own ethics, rules and regulation, and can perform its own research. Nurses Ranked 'Most Trusted Profession' in 2018.
If we experienced some incivility in the workplace, it might not have much negative impact on the profession until the nurses are within the professional ethics and policies. Yes sometimes it happens with nurses because of work overload or stress they saw some rude behaviour or become impolite.
If outside of healthcare were aware it might have a negative impact about the profession.
As you move towards your role as an NP, what will you do to support healthful work environments for yourself and your colleagues?
ANSWER:
As an NP we should always stick to the nursing ethics and maintain the standard of our work this will help to maintain a good working environment to all the staff. Most importantly we should work as a team and support each other among the colleagues, it will lead to supportive, healthful work environment automatically.
· Think about your personal use of social media. Are there changes you would like to make in how you use social media?
ANSWER:
When I think about personal use of social media it think there is need for some changes that I would like to make that is some restrictions of use of social media during the duty hour as it shows unprofessional behaviour.
· What self-care practices do you engage in to promote personal holistic health?
ANSWER:
Self-care practices I follow are exercise specially yoga, meditation, recreational activities, watching movies, painting, participating community works and consuming healthy nutritious diet etc.
