Play therapy is considered an effective therapy modality because it makes the children involved according to their interests and at the same time different approaches are used to identify and solve various problems.

• It helps the kid reflect upon his thoughts and increases the ability to communicate. Some children find it difficult to communicate in a natural social setting so to give them a boost in their communication- play therapy is provided.
• Positive relationships between the therapist and the child make a comfortable environment where correct emotional expression is initiated.
• Adaptive behaviors can be learned through storytelling while playing with toys.
• Cognitive function improves as children are engaged in various problem-solving activities or toys. Secondly, it helps in improving the insight and resolution to the inner conflicts.
