Socio-geny comprises of two words. Socio means "social" and genesis means "to take birth". Socio-geny is something which describes the manner through which a social phenomenon takes place. We know that biological various changes took place in past which led to development of humans and others organisms.

Like in the same manner various social phenomenon also take birth and get developed. It can be understood through an example. Suppose there is a large family. That family remains in a society where most of the people live their lives with limited resources.

In that society, education is not given any importance. There are various people in society who are involved in criminal activities. If child takes birth and observes such people in his/her surrounding then there is tendency that the child will also get involved in some criminal activities.

We keep on observing our surroundings. Our conscious and unconscious mind keep on observing various changes taking place in our surrounding. In the same manner our personality gets developed. In the same fashion, various social aspects like "race" gets developed. Various social concepts keep on developing based on our surrounding observations.
