how are genes governed by the environment?
Cloning is neither governed by the environment or genes?
Ans.
Both internal and external factors affect the Genes. Some of the most important factors are hormones, metabolism, gender etc. On the other hand, drugs or chemicals, temperature of the place also affect how the born person will be. Example - Thomas Hunt in 1917 did a research where he took some caterpillars who were kept under three different lights (red, green and blue) while few of them were kept in dark. He found out that when these caterpillars were turning into butterflies, their wings color were different. The butterflies which were exposed to red color, had colored wings while those under green light had dusky wings. Also he found out that the butterflies that were kept in dark were larger in size. Hence it is proved that light is also a factor that affects genes of a living being.
No cloning does not depend upon it since it is n artificial way of providing some particular traits to an organism who is kept under controlled conditions and thus he does not get affected by these factors.
