Solutions

Expert Solution

Nien-he Hsieh in his paper ' voluntary code of conduct for multinational corporations: coordinating duties of rescue and justice published in the year 2006 argued that coordinative role of codes of conduct renders the MNC's more accountable for the actions specified in a code of conduct than they would be with out a code of conduct. The paper also explains the ways in which code of conduct coordinate the expectation of relevant parties with respect to assistance by MNC's on the grounds of rescue and justice. The contractual obligations regarding the actions specified in the code of conduct were also examined.

Nien -he Hsieh is of the opinion that voluntary code of conduct are an Increasingly prevalent feature of the landscape in which multinational corporations operate. These codes specify the actions that could be taken by the multinational corporations if conflict with society . Adoption code of conduct is praiseworthy. But the obligations must be understood clearly.
