To date, which biomes have been the most heavily affected by humans? Which seems to be lightly affected? Offer a clear explanation.
Biome is a considered to be a large community which comprises of Flora and fauna. Various Biomes are substantially being affected by ever increasing human activities. The most heavily affected biome region includes the indigeneous Temparate grasslands surrounding almost 8% area of Earth. These grasslands have always been at grater risks and are endangering continousely because of increasing human requirements. These temprate grasslands are substantially being converted into areas for production and cultivation of crop species, for mining purposes, for Urbanization and industrialization, for grazing plots etc. Such activites had lead to loss of habitat, loss of biodiversity and have also arised various environmental problems. Moreover, Various marine biomes are also highly affected by human activities.
On the other hand, biomes which are least affected when compared to others are the desert biomes more specifically the Sahara desert as these are the driest biomes and recives miniml amount of rainfalls. They have not been economically productive to humans as these regions have adverse climatic conditions and survival here is difficult, therefore are comparatively less affected.
