The U.S has undergoing the process of receiving the first stimulus package for the economy . Almost 130 million stimulus has been paid so fas as per estimates . However , the people are sceptical regarding the results as it is not being considered sufficient to revive the economy . The U.S economy was already facing problems of low growth and unemployment prior to COVID-19 and this epidemic has hit it even harder and has made the situation worse . In such a scenario , The first stimulus package wont last long as per the experts and the households as well who are facing severe liquidity crunch .

The opposition parties have proposed for a second stimulus package to give a nudge to the economy . However, these proposals might not see the daylight as the President is not so positive about the second stimulus package . Though , there is wide consensus with respect to second stimulus package among the population but there is no surity whether it would come or not . The Republicans are of the view that some patience is needed because full payments are yet to be made for the first round . It is expected that results would be seen in some time .

So , the chances of second stimulus package are bleak in the short term . However , it might be approved in the long run if the economy stays at tenterhooks.
