Skoda Auto Digilab established in 2017 with their headquarters at Prague, Czech Republic, is into new age digital solutions, technologies and services for SKODA’s future development. Their primary goal is to develop completely new mobility solutions for their customers. It strongly believes in generating and developing ideas, testing them and turning them into customer-oriented products and services at a quick pace. This would set the trend of a new era of mobility, making driving easy, safer with high levels of comfort and efficiency.
The major issues faced by SKODA Auto digilab would be –
- Limited exchange of data between different research team within SKODA and the Volkswagen group as a whole. The integration of the benefits of the extensive research was not being achieved as research team did not have seamless interactions and the business teams too were not aware of the experience of the research groups.
- Sales from digital solutions such as mobility services was not achieving its potential scale. It has the potential to achieve a similar sales as that from the core business in a few years’ time.
In order to solve these issues, SKODA through their Auto Digilab created an ideas workshop in order to promote exchange between the creative minds within the organization, centralizing the same through its headquarters in Prague. This would advance the development of pioneering connectivity and mobility services throughout the company, making it possible to commercialize the same with sales revenue and getting results that would benefit not just SKODA but the entire Volkswagen group as a whole.
