The importance of numerical method and method of separation of variable in heat transfer

Solutions

Expert Solution

In heat transfer the when slowly begin to remove all assumption and began to incorporate the real scenario the equation becomes more and more complex. most of the times we have partial differential equation, which doesn't have a standard solution. At such situation we need Numerical methods to obtain a solution for such situation. Now numerical solution won't give a exact solution but a value which is very close to the solution. In almost all of the cases this is acceptable and the errors are roughly of the order of 10^-3 . Hence numerical method can help to obtain the solution of more complex equation and also consume less time

Method separation of variable will help in reducing time when applying numerical method. The more complex the equation, more time it will take to iterate and converge the equation,Hence separation variable can help to simplify the equation before applying numerical method.
