I want to create an app which a user can talk to and get emotional feedback in a form of a conversation. So, a user can talk about how stressful their day was, and my app should reply accordingly so that the user feels better. I want to know what methods(pyschologically) I can apply on my bot so that the user feels satisfied. In short, is there any psychological therapy term which deals with such conversations? Also, what all illnesses can I best help with using my app? (anxiety, social disorders etc)

Firstly I would like to appreciate this idea ,who ever has got such a novel concept which I feel will help loads of people with day to day stress.
According to me for a user to feel satisfied the therapy or psychological help should be provided in the form of structured therapy. If I have to mention a particular name of psychological method or therapy that would best suit the above mentioned need ,I feel the therapy should be based on same goals and principles of Carl Rogers client centered therapy. In which the approach is non directive,a conselling approach that requires client to take an active role in his or her treatment along with feedback from therapist, which will be non directive and just be supportive.
The main principle of creating such app should be achieving clients independence that means such counselling will help client better cope with past, current and future problems that they may face, such problems shall be solved by client himself with the help and support of the therapist advice from the app.
The principal on which the app be made I think should be, that every individual is unique and also the problems or stress levels he or she will have will be unique, but along with problems faced every individual has unique ability to face and deal with problems, but sometimes it's difficult for individual to find the correct way. This app will help in doing so by making client realize the correct way to deal with difficult and stressful situations and boost them,motivate them to face the problem with courage,rest the individual will find his own way.
With such app rather than treating Ilnesses i feel this app will serve more of preventive role, by making a person psychologically stronger and stable so that they may not easily develop anxiety disorder,depression or other psychiatric illness . This will better develop positive psychology by building coping skills and increasing resilience .
Illness that colud be best helped may be -
mild anxiety disorder
Mild to moderate depressive disorder, adjustment disorders.
Phobic anxiety disorder, including exam phobia,social phobia,etc.
