For the Visual presentations, visual communications are important. Visual communications are stronger way of communicating the message as compared to the written communication process without the use of visuals. It enhances the communication process by adding more meaning to the same. Visuals help in supporting all other forms of communication by making it easier for the audience to relate the topic that is attempted to be communicated, through imaging the same on the minds of the audiences. It is also the faster way of communication and could be especially used to support such communication process that includes Presentation or any other form of Oral communication, Written forms of communication such as Report writing, Emails, etc. Visuals have the potential to make the content of the communication more interesting and engaging for the audience. Also, the images help the audience form a larger picture to the Topic it pertains to. It is recall value is higher and hence it enhances the communication process.

Further, owing to such a recall value and the image that it sets on the minds of the audiences, it could be said that it inhibits the message that is being conveyed. Oral and Written communications are full of words. But visuals are of a different genre. If visuals are attractive, then audience could connect with the inhibited message in a faster and more effective way.

In many Corporate Houses such as at the Consultancy Companies, Financial and other companies, the lacking is mainly observed in the manner the information is presented to the Users. The visualization of any data makes the information more sense for the users because they can easily comprehend the data with its objective. However, Companies do not engage in tactfully presenting the data to the Users because the graphical representation of the data is a time-consuming affair. Here is where, the attention-getting devises are used in creation of visual presentations.

For example, in order to bridge the gap between the data representation and data retention by its aimed Users, Tableau has been successful in overcoming the same. Tableau software has been especially utilized by various Media Organizations that indulges in different forms of data crunching activity. To those Organizations, Tableau software helps in visualizing the data in such an innovative way that it enables such Companies to continue playing with the data and represent them to the Users in the most interactive manner. Further, the software not just represents the data in a visual format but also ensures that the Users observe the data in the visualized format, understand the same as well as, have the ability to manipulate such a data so presented before them. In this way, it facilitates more learning on the part of its Users rather than simply putting forth a data, carrying facts or figures.

Evidence, in this regard, needs to be gathered by contacting at least two of the Companies who are using this managerial tool to visualize their reports as to how the entire process worked. Further, it has been said that when the manipulation or playing with data through the features of ‘drag and drop’ and others, shared by the Tableau, the same is rested on the hands of the Users. I need to collect evidence on this aspect of customization as well to safely conclude that the Users actually become highly engaged with such an information and continue to dig more to understand the case in a more efficient way. Besides, an insight of its unique features should also be gathered by such primary users like whether it actually does not require very sophisticated analytical comprehension techniques. Also, the compatibility factor needs to be checked upon as to whether it is compatible to all leading media devices such as iPads or even the smartphones. A wider range of accessibility to the software can only prove its worth and sustainability in the long run. So this aspect needs to be certainly assessed.

In the end, it is to be also noted that there various Business Intelligence Tools are itself the attention-getting devices that are available to the Corporate and Individuals alike, that facilitates the visualization of data for analysis at certain skill level that are usually varying in nature, depending upon the intensity of the analysis and the purpose of the raw data presentation. Overall, many of these tools like Prezi, Spotfire and Tableau, being self-service in nature, the dependency on the I.T. team, can reduce considerably on the front of data visualization and analysis. So a comparison between all such leading managerial BI tools need to be done to get the evidences upon the sustainability, reliability and utility of the same.
