The male reproductive organ include the external structures and the internal structures, Unlike the female reproductive system, most of the male reproductive system is located outside of the body.

The external structures of male include the following.

A) Pen!s, this is male organ for sexual intercourse,  It is flaccid for non-sexual actions, such as urination, and turgid and rod-like with sexual arousal, It has three parts: the root, which attaches to the wall of the abdomen; the body, or shaft; and the glans, which is the cone-shaped part at the end of the penis. The glans, also called the head of the pen!s, is covered with a loose layer of skin called foreskin,the shaft of the pen!s surrounds the urethra, these shaft is composed of erectile tissues, corpus cavrnosium and corpus spongosium.Semen, which contains sperm, is expelled through the end of the pen!s when the man reaches sexual climax, when the pen!s is erect, the flow of urine is blocked from the urethra, allowing only semen to be ejaculated at orgasm.

B) Scr0tum, a pouch of skin containing the testicles.in addition to this it contains many nerves and blood vessels, it has two compartments, each compartment contains one of the two testes, the glands that produce sperm, and one of the epididymides, where the sperm is stored. The function of the scr0tum is to protect the testes and to keep them at a temperature several degrees below the normal body temperature, special muscles in the wall of the scr0tum allow it to contract and relax, moving the testicles closer to the body for warmth or farther away from the body to cool the temperature.

C) Testes,  are oval organs about the size of large olives that lie in the scr0tum, secured at either end by a structure called the spermatic cord,they are surrounded by two distinct layers of protective connective tissue, the outer tunica vaginalis is a serous membrane that has both a parietal and a thin visceral layer. Beneath the tunica vaginalis is the tunica albuginea, a tough, white, dense connective tissue layer covering the testis itself. The testes are responsible for making testosterone, the primary male sex hormone, and for generating sperm.

The internal organs of the male reproductive system, also called accessory organs, include the following:

Vas deferens: The vas deferens is a long, muscular tube that travels from the epididymis into the pelvic cavity, to just behind the bladder, the vas deferens transports mature sperm to the urethra in preparation for ejaculation.

Urethra:  The urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder to outside of the body.

Seminal vesicles : The seminal vesicles are sac-like pouches that attach to the vas deferens near the base of the bladder.

In addition to this they contain glands like prostrate gland and bulbourethral gland.

2. The female reproductive system includes the ovaries, Fallopian tubes, uterus, vag!na, accessory glands, and external genital organs. The organs of the female reproductive system produce and sustain the female sex cells , transport these cells to a site where they may be fertilized by sperm, and also provides a stable enviornment for the develpment of fetus and also responsible for producing female hormones.

Ovaries, the ovaries form part of the female reproductive system. Each woman has two ovaries. They are oval in shape, the ovaries lie on either side of the uterus against the pelvic wall in a region called the ovarian fossa. They are held in place by ligaments attached to the uterus.Their main function is to produce eggs for fettilization, they also produce reproductive hormones, oestrogen and progesterone

Fallopian tubes,also known as uterine tubes, is a slender tube through which eggs pass from an ovary to the uterus.The Fallopian tubes have small hair-like projections called cilia on the cells of the lining. These tubal cilia are essential to the movement of the egg through the tube into the uterus, fertilization usualy occurs in the fallopian tubes.

Uterus,is a narrow muscular organ located in the female pelvis between the bladder and rectum.The uterus sits quite low in the abdomen and is held in position by muscles, ligaments and fibrous tissues. The uterus is joined to the vag!na by the cervix that is also called the neck of the womb, the main functions is to nourish and house a fertilized egg until the fetus, or offspring, is ready to be delivered.

Vag!na, is the muscular tube leading from the external genitals to the cervix of the uterus in women, connects,the vulva and labia form the entrance, and the cervix of the uterus protrudes into the vagina, forming the interior end. It serves as a passageway for menstrual flow, receives the erect pen!s during intercourse

The external genitalia are the accessory structures of the female reproductive system, the external genitalia include the labia majora, mons pubis, labia minora, clitor!s, and glands within the vestibule
