The main reason for us to focus on gaining remote work skill in the current year 2020 is - COVID-19. The need to implement social distancing in order to combat the virus and stop it's spread requires us to use digital platforms extensively to work and complete our tasks. It will ensure our financial stability as well as safeguard the organization from succumbing to the ill-effects of the pandemic on the society.

We can see that most of the organizations have moved to online platforms, for example teaching. Schools have begun teaching their students through online training sessions such as Google meet and Zoom. Further, the organizations are executing tasks online along with performance review of individual employees. Also, several the online retail industry has boomed, as the requirement for home delivery of essentials has increased multifold. Thus, one needs to be intuitive and proactively begin to accept the situation and learn the method of working remotely and use technology to it's fullest potential.
