The null and alternative hypothesis is,

Ho: p = 0.40

Ha: p 0.40

Test statistics

z = ( - ) / *(1-) / n

= ( 0.40 - 0.455) / (0.40*0.60) /235

= -1.72

P-value = 2 * P(Z < z )

= 2 * P(Z < -1.72 )

= 2 * 0.0427

= 0.0854

The p-value is p = 0.0854, and since p = 0.0854 > 0.01, it is concluded that the null hypothesis is fail to rejected.

Therefore there is not sufficient evidence to claim that to test if your support has changed, at 0.01 level of significance.
