Paraphilias is a sexual disorder that is characterized by sexual fantasies, urges and behaviors. These are actually branded as abnormal and disgusting behaviors even in the individualistic countries. It’s a psychological disorder that needs treatment because it causes inconvenience to many people. Few of the common paraphilias include, pedophilia which means focusing children as the target for sex, exhibitionism which is characterized by showing one’s genitals in public to everyone who pass, especially to opposite sex, voyeurism which means someone looking at the sexual activities of others without their knowledge, frotteurism which is characterized by touching someone without their permission, fetishism which is to use inanimate objects for sex, masochism and sadism where someone forces the other to suffer in terms of sex, transvestic which is characterized by cross dressing. There are also some other uncommon practices that involve sex with animals, sex with dead bodies etc.
