The main factors in data communication that stimulate network perofrmance measures are

1) Medium of communication

Data tranfer depends on which type of medium is being used mainly there are two type of media like wired and wreless media.

2) Letency of network

Latency of a network decides that how much time a packet or data takes to travel from start to end

preferably it should be as low as possible.

3) Bandwidth of network

Bandwidth of a network resembles that how much data can be transfered from sender to receiver  in a given period of time.

bandwidth of network should be as large as possible for heavy data transmssion.

4) Throughput of network-

Throughput of network shown the capacity that it can transfer data in one sec

the throughput of network is related to bandwidth of media.

5) Tranmisison error

Tranmisison error arises when a signal collides with another signal therfore reduces the transmission of data .

these error are reduced by slecting proper signal method like ALOHA , CSMA, CSMA-CD
